Before you fill out your application, you must understand the "DU Style" of looking at CUET UG. Unlike other universities, DU has very specific subject-mapping rules.
| Rule | CUET 2026 Criteria |
| Max Subjects | 5 (including languages, domains, and GAT) |
| Must Include | At least 1 language from List A (Mandatory for merit/eligibility) |
| Optional | GAT (General Aptitude Test) – required for specific professional courses |
| Eligibility Condition | Selecting subjects not studied in Class 12 means Ineligible for DU |
As per CUET UG 2026 Bulletin of Information:
These are divided into two lists:
Pro Tip: Most DU courses usually require you to choose at least two subjects from List B1. Your third domain subject can be from either B1 or B2.
GAT is not compulsory for most courses but necessary for a few professional courses like BMS, BBA-FIA, BBE, and Journalism.
Syllabus Includes :
General Knowledge, Current Affairs, General Mental Ability, Numerical Ability, Quantitative Reasoning, and Logical & Analytical Reasoning, testing awareness of national/international events, basic math concepts (arithmetic, algebra, geometry), and logical puzzles
